Celebrating Ghana Month at Npontu: A Day of Culture, Fun, and Impact

On Friday, 28th March 2025, Npontu Technologies came alive with the vibrant sights and sounds of Ghanaian heritage as we celebrated Ghana Month with an unforgettable day of cultural immersion, fun, and social impact. This maiden edition of our Ghana Month celebration was a nostalgic journey through our nation’s rich history, traditions, and values, uniting us as a team while reinforcing our commitment to community development.

A Display of Ghanaian Culture
The Npontu family embraced the day in grand style, with every employee adorned in stunning traditional Ghanaian regalia and costumes, showcasing the diverse ethnic beauty of our country. From the striking kente of the Ashanti and Ewe people to the elegant smocks of the North, our attire reflected the colorful tapestry of Ghana’s cultural heritage.

The celebration was further enriched by the presence of the renowned Amamere Cultural Group, who treated us to mesmerizing cultural displays, drumming, and dance performances that transported us back to the roots of Ghanaian tradition. Their energetic performances filled the air with excitement and national pride, leaving everyone in awe.

A Taste of Ghana
What’s a cultural celebration without traditional Ghanaian food? To make the experience even more authentic, we set up a local bar serving some of Ghana’s most beloved traditional drinks and delicacies. Employees had the chance to indulge in refreshing sobolo, asaana, and freshly tapped pineapple juice, along with mouthwatering Ghanaian dishes that brought back cherished childhood memories.

Friendly Cultural Competitions
To make the day even more engaging, staff were divided into groups to compete in cultural singing and dance competitions. Laughter and excitement filled the air as teams enthusiastically performed classic folk songs and traditional dances, earning cheers and applause from their colleagues. The competitions showcased hidden talents among our staff and strengthened the bond of camaraderie within the company.

Driving Digital Transformation Through CSR
Beyond the celebrations, we took the opportunity to reinforce our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment with a transformative initiative that aligns with our mission to drive technological innovation. As part of the day’s activities, we proudly unveiled a newly built and fully stocked convenient shop for our favorite neighborhood kiosk. Not only that, but true to our core as a business, we set up for her use on her mobile device our Kedebah Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) tailored for micro-businesses*. This enables efficient management of not just her inventory but also her sales and expenses, ensuring financial tracking, documentation and laying the foundation for future scalability.

This initiative represents our broader commitment to digital democratization for micro-businesses. Reflecting our belief that the use of cutting-edge technology should not be the exclusive domain of large corporations but accessible to all entrepreneurs, regardless of scale.
