Npontu Technologies partners UCC to equip students

Under the partnership, students of UCC Business School would be offered hands-on practical experience that would help equip them for the job market. This hands-on experience will allow students to apply their academic knowledge to real-world projects, gaining valuable insights and practical skills.

Collaboration

The collaboration would also provide the students with a unique opportunity to apply relevant technology in practical ways that complement their classroom learning. By leveraging cloud-based applications, such as data and financial analytics, both students and faculty can enhance their digital knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of technology applications in their respective fields. In addition to access to cutting-edge technology, students would also have the chance to engage in valuable internships with Npontu Technologies. This invaluable real-world industry experience will nurture their talent and prepare them for the ever-evolving technology sector. A release issued by the two institutions said the partnership would solidify their commitment to bridging the gap between academia and the business environment. Commenting on the partnership, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Npontu Technologies, Dr Stephane Nwolley, said the company aimed to leverage its expertise and resources through this collaboration. “By joining forces with UCC, the company seeks to nurture and groom the next generation of talented professionals. We are thrilled to collaborate with the University of Cape Coast in this exciting endeavour. At Npontu, we strongly believe in the power of education and hands-on experience to shape the future of the technology industry,” he stated.

Partnership

He said this partnership would enable the company to contribute to the growth and development of young professionals, equipping them with the necessary technological skills for their careers. For his part, the Dean of the School of Business at UCC, Professor John Gatsi, said the school was excited about the partnership, emphasising the school’s commitment to relevant partnerships that enhance student education. He said the school is renowned for its dedication to producing industry-ready graduates, prioritising practical education and real-world exposure and this collaboration would, therefore, further enhance this.
